Richland police say the driver is cooperating with authorities, and there's no evidence of any impairment.

The investigation has begun into what led to a pair of two boys, ages 8 and 12, who were hit by a southbound car on Jadwin at Wilson Street.

Around 4:55pm Tuesday, police say the boys were crossing Jadwin in the crosswalk at Wilson when they were hit by the car. Both sustained multiple broken bones, one of them a serious head injury. Passers by immediate began to help as did the driver.

Both boys are said to be in stable condition and remain in the hospital. NO other information has been released at this time.
