Although there's nothing funny about the potential for accidents and injury caused by reckless driving, the Pasco Police were rather clever in their response to the just recent surge of speeders around town.

Saturday, they posted this on their Facebook page. It seems this weekend was the release of the latest Fast And Furious movie, Fast and Furious 8. It starts Duane "The Rock" Johnson, Vin Diesel and the usual suspects. You can click here to watch the trailer.

But Pasco police picked up on the fact that since Friday, there's been a definite uptick in the number of small cars speeding around town, you can usually hear their exhaust whining.  Police say every time a new F&F movie comes out, they are extra watchful because people go nuts and zip around like the clowns in the movie.

Just be advised police also know release dates for such movies, and are prepared with FASTER cars than yours, and radar guns. Fortunately, no serious incidents have been reported, just a lot more tickets for wanna-be F&F drivers.

And, their warning to such would-be drivers was funny, mocking their little nitro-infused four-cylinder engines!
