Suspect in Target Dressing Room Incident Identified, Sought by Police
UPDATE: This charge was vacated in February 2024 by the Benton County Superior Court.
January 27th, Kennewick police responded to the Target store on Columbia Center Boulevard after a woman and store workers reported an incident near the dressing rooms.
A man, now said by police to be 24-year-old Tyler Brian Fairchild, also goes by last name of Liek, was seen placing a cellphone face up just under the door of a dressing room. This incident was reported on previously.
It is believed the purpose of the phone was to record the occupants inside the dressing room.
He had reportedly followed a woman and her 2-year-old child through the store, then to the dressing room area where the incident occurred. He was confronted by the woman, who saw the phone on the floor, and he fled the store. The incident was captured on store surveillance cameras.
Now, Crime Stoppers are offering a reward in connection with his apprehension. He is 6' tall, 185 pounds, and judging from the type of photo provided by police, it appears possibly a previous criminal history. However, that has not been confirmed.
