During his trial, it was revealed on April 29, 2023, around 10 PM, three men tripped a sensor at the US-Canadian border about a half mile from the US Border crossing at Danville, WA  which is in a remote area of Ferry County (Republic WA).

US Customs and Border Patrol agents responded, and found the three men had carried $8 million dollars worth of the drug MDNA, also known as "Molly," or Ectasy over the border from Canada.  The drug is illegal and often referred to as the date-rape drug.

The men triggered  the alert on their way back to Canada. They had carried several backpacks and a suitcase full of drugs.  Singh was waiting on Fourth of July Creek Road in a rented Honda Odyssey, who then took the drugs and drove away from the area.

Agents stopped Singh, and saw the same backpacks carried by the men who tripped the motion and video cameras. The other 3 suspects were not able to be located before they crossed the border back into Canada.

According to the US Attorney's Office;

  "On Singh’s cellular phone, investigators found a map of the area, along with messages on the encrypted phone application Signal detailing where Singh should go, when he should arrive, and directing him to “leave the back hood open.”

Numerous other pieces of evidence were  located, and the jury unanimously found Singh guilty on all charges. According to US Attorney Pete Serrano's Office, Singh will be deported following the conclusion of his sentence.
