Kennewick police are investigating four home burglaries that thieves appear to have targeted.

The weekends of February 2nd, 9th and 15th,  four homes in the area of Yelm and Highway 395 have been broken into,  and all the thefts occurred in the same general time frame.

Sunday the 2nd and 9th, and Saturday the 15th,  homes in the 500 blocks of Yelm and also Underwood, and the 2000 blocks of Clearwater and Bruneau have all been hit,  between the hours of 6 and 9pm.

Police say two safes, electronics, and game consoles were taken.  No other information has been released by police, but it appears the thief or thieves could have been watching the neighborhoods looking for patterns.   This could be due to the burglaries occurring only on weekends, and in specific time windows -  when people aren't there.

Police have cautioned for some time for residents to be on the lookout for suspicious or out of place cars and people in their neighborhoods.   These people can potentially be studying the patterns of residents coming and going from homes.   There have been other burglary reports in the past of thieves knocking on doors during the day to determine if anyone is home, establishing a pattern of when homeowners are absent, then returning later to break in.

Residents are urged to keep an eye out, and make sure all doors and windows are securely locked, and report any suspicious activity.
