A card skimmer is a device used to capture personal data, including pin numbers, from card-swiping device. These were found inside the Richland Walmart

Despite masks, police report at least one of our early May card skimming suspects in custody.

Although one suspect has been ID'd by Richland PD, the others are still at large. This is now the 4th such suspect or groups of suspects who've used masks to their advantage.

Suspect, who's name has not been released, is from Europe. He was here on phony passport.

Evidence leads police to believe like many other such criminals, they've left the area.

Suspects used skimmers to get account numbers, then printed fraudulent ATM cards.

Kennewick police revealed Thursday that several credit card skimmers were found and removed from some gas pumps in the area, but some citizens are upset the location has not been revealed. And apparently the skimmers have become more sophisticated.
